QUEST 1 - RADIO ONE The Quest originated from this thread. Aim: For one or more of the Fellowship of the Forum to win tickets to one of the Return of the King premieres, from the competitions that Radio One were holding. Procedure: Bombard Radio One DJs, especially Dave Pearce (also Jo Whiley and co.) with text messages, emails and phone calls, telling them about the FotF and how much we deserved the tickets. Also, let the FotF members know about any other ROTK premiere ticket competitions you find so that we can all enter those as well. Result: OK, so none of us actually won tickets. A load of us went anyway though. And if it's any commiseration, a couple of us won LOTR goody bags from the BBC (big deal!). Quite a lot of us got through on the phones, and were asked stupid questions by the operators such as "What actor plays Legolas". And, Dave Pearce did a mention for the FotF on his show. He also said about Holly (Karamel Rose) making friendship bracelets for him (don't ask). Conclusion: We didn't fail - Radio One is evil. Dave Pearce sucks and he made us have big phone bills in December. Date finished: |
